I’ve done nearly every job in the golf industry, starting as a caddy at the closest thing to an actual Bushwood Country Club that I’ve experienced (think: Caddyshack the movie). I then worked my way through the bag room, cart barn, and pro shop. At 24, I won the Colorado Assistants' Championship at Boulder Country Club while working as a teaching pro near Denver. These experiences allowed me to engage with incredible people, learn the value of service, and grow as a professional through the game that I love.

When I moved to Manhattan Beach, California in 2006 as a sales rep, I started producing charity golf events and silent auction parties to engage with my new community. Fundraising efforts have benefitted Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Junior Achievement of SoCal, and Youth On Course. If you visit South Bay Los Angeles, you will quickly understand what a special place it is.

Beach Cities Golf Club began in 2017 from a group of guys who knew each other from surfing and volleyball, more so than golf. We all love to play, but access to courses is limited; and the ocean is right there! Still, we wanted to play more, so a social club and league competition began at our local Par 3.

In our first season, 16 guys competed in “The Race To Shellback Tavern.” We are now nearly 100 golfers strong with a mix of accomplished players, total beginners, and everything in-between. Each season also features a Match Play Championship and a Ryder Cup-style competition. Today, Beach Cities Golf Club is a group of golfers who love friendly competition and activities that support our coastal community.
